Yes of course, every one is welcome to visit, this is not an exclusive Retreat. We are here for all to enjoy the peace and quiet.
Yes we do.
2017 - we are committed to supporting community and group retreats, for up to 12 people.
We hope to build a 'family' of regular visitors that feel they are part of the Sangha Retreat experience. Friends that visit regularly or friends that stay for extended periods.
Not at all. Some will stay to engage with others and to make new friends. Others will stay to have some 'quiet time' and be away from the normal daily routine.
Yes, this is your time. There's lots to do and see in the area, lakes, forests, hiking we can lend you bikes too.
If you wish to relax at home we have an acre and a half of gardens and paddock to sit quietly in.
No. It's about an hour and 15mins flying from 5 regional airports in the UK and prices start at about £40 return during the winter.
We would like to offer those on a limited budget the chance to visit and our facilities are very rustic.
We love the traditional style of the buildings that we occupy and we are keeping them that way. Comfortable but basic.

don’t have access to safe water. Without this basic service, they have no choice but to drink dirty water that could kill them.
2019 - Enquiries welcome
Peace of mind - "the absence of mental stress or anxiety"
All living beings have the same basic wish to be happy and avoid suffering, but very few people understand the real causes of happiness and suffering.
We generally believe that external conditions e.g. material posessions and money are the real causes of happiness, and as a result we devote time and energy to acquiring these.
Superficially it seems that these things can make us happy, but if we look more deeply we shall see that they also bring us suffering and problems.
